Joyful Noise Preschool
We opened our doors in September 2000. Our Christian-based center is state-licensed with a qualified teaching staff. We believe every child is a precious gift from God to be encouraged spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, intellectually, and creatively. From September through May, we meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00-11:30. Call 715-386-8820 to schedule a tour or find out more information.
We work with parents of the very young (0 to 2 years old) and provide them with the materials, tools and support to enable them to teach their children about Jesus.
Sunday School at Emmanuel is a place where children and youth from 3 years of age through high-school can find a safe, welcoming, and fun learning environment to learn about Jesus and the wonderful work He did for us! Classes meet Sundays after church service and fellowship from September to mid-May.
Children in our preschool, kindergarten, and younger grades learn that we are all children of God and that God sent Jesus to be our personal friend and Savior. The children are introduced to Jesus through Bible stories, songs, and activities.
As the children grow up and grow in their faith they dig a little deeper in God's Word as it is presented to us in the Bible. They hear the Word and it strengthens and nourishes their faith.
When they enter middle school and junior high, we begin to provide them with more Bible-centered topical studies.
Ignite Youth Group
This class will give teens (9th grade and up) a chance to get to know each other, study the word of God, and plan activities together. Come prepared to have fun, share ideas, and grow in friendship and faith. They meet Sundays after church service and fellowship from September to mid-May.
Adult Bible Study
While your children attend Sunday School, you can attend our Sunday morning Adult Bible Study which is held Sundays after church service and fellowship, and Wednesdays at 10:30 am. Both classes meet from September to mid-May. The Bible study is typically a series that may be a direct study of the Bible or it may be a topic of interest to the group.
We also provide a midweek Bible study on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am as an additional opportunity to come together and study God's Word. This study is open to adults.
Bible Information Class
Want some basic information about the Bible and what Christianity is all about? Or are you a Christian who would like a "refresher" course in Biblical principles and Lutheran doctrine? Then this class is for you! Contact us at 715-386-9851 for more information on our Bible Information Class.
In addition to Sunday School classes for middle/junior high schoolers, Emmanuel provides youth with the opportunity to attend a three-year program of study that can lead to confirmation as communicant members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). These Pastor-led confirmation classes held on Wednesdays during the school year provide a deep and thorough study of Bible scriptures and doctrine that give the students a full understanding of the Christian faith.
KICK (Kids in Christ's Knowledge) Group (Kindergarten - 8th grade)
A different activity is planned every month. Activities in the past have been working with wood, orienteering, first aid and decorating pumpkins. Check the latest church newsletter for meeting times.
Bible Information Class
For Adults who are seeking to become communicant members of the WELS, we are happy to provide a faster-paced, adult-level instruction covering the same scriptural and doctrinal material as our youth Confirmation classes.
Vacation Bible School: Held in August
Our choir is mixed choir of all ages, ranging from 6th grade through adult. The choir sings a wide variety of musical styles periodically thoughout the year and on major holidays. Spreading the gospel through song is the choir's mission at Emmanuel.
Praise the Lord with music by playing an instrument or singing in our worship services. Soloists and groups are more than welcomed.
Worship CommitteeOur worship committee works with the pastor to design the worship service.
The Altar Guild serves in the care of the altar area. They are also responsible for hanging and maintaining the worship banners. We also prepare for the communion service by setting out the bread and wine. The Altar Guild has six teams of two members. They are always looking for more to join!
This committee offers many opportunities for you to share Christ's love with the neighborhood surrounding Emmanuel and in the lives of the lost. Come share with us in helping others.
